My new {Left-over } socks

When I buy yarn it’s usually like this: ” Oh nice colours and wow so soft…have to get it”. I go into a trance like state…..
So obviously I have loads of left overs (from projects such as the From Norway with love hat and mittens I made for Xmas gifts 2010) That’s why I’m making left over socks…well not really socks it’s stirrup socks without the difficult heel and toe.
The recipe is loosely based on the Yogi socks in Strikkede gaver from Forlaget Sangild – but I used an other gauge and change the number of stitches…so in a way it’s very much different. I’m really happy with the result but I wished they had a heel and toe….oh well that’s next project.
Yarn used…oh well it’s atleast some arwetta (double tread), Merino lang 120 and Dale Freestyle.

and yes they work as ankelwarmers too – perfect since it’s cold in Copenhagen at the moment

Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful! When do you find the time to knit? I love these, and am dying for some colour in my life, but I expect that the simplest of knitting projects will take me all winter!!

Thank you :) I knit during nap time and while watching TV – the trick is to have a fun project then it doesn’t take that much time.
